An unreliable memoir

Twitcher Territory

Great Crested Grebe
A good, slightly chilly morning at Swithland today, thankfully a lot less windy than yesterday. Waist-deep in twitchers, all futilely searching for the Great Northern Diver. It’s gone chaps (and a few chapesses) – it’s Great Crested Grebes all the way down now.

Did you ever read “Great Northern” (Ransome) – they’re on the search for Great Northern Divers off the WEst Coast.
