An unreliable memoir

Mine

Robin

This land is mine.
In the cold days to come I will need every scrap of food it provides to survive.
If you come on my land I will fight you.
I will stab you with my beak.
When the days get longer and warmer I will sing and sing until a female comes.
I will share my land with her.
We will use this land to raise a brood.
Until then this land is mine.
