Defrosting the Car
This was the inside of the windscreen. And this was the only photo I took today, the rest of the day being taken up by an unavoidable expedition up the M6 in the freezing fog, consisting of a repeating cycle of dodgy drivers, achingly beautiful unattainable photo opportunities, and terror.

Frosty Bamboo

Frosty Bamboo

Dragged off to the shops this morning but I escaped to snap a few quickies in the garden first. Very little time so I used the kit lens on auto settings. This was my favourite shot, slightly preferred to frost on thyme, but I learned a couple of things:

This kit lens is not that sharp (no surprise, manual settings and stopping down may help)

Stay perpendicular to the subject to maximise usable depth of field.
