It has been said that in the UK you’re never more than five inches away from a spider. Although this has only ever been said by me, and like most of these famous sayings, it’s not true. But if you’re out on a misty autumn morning when the drops amplify the spider’s webs, you do realize exactly how many spiders are out there.

WebI’m still feeling tired after a hard week, so we decided last night not to go out for a dawn shoot this morning. When I woke and saw the mist I wasn’t sorry, so leisurely cup of tea in bed, breakfast, then when the light had finally hit the sweet spot between murky and flat, wandered down the garden and shot this. Which I’m pretty happy with. Especially the tea in bed part.
